The Mevagissey & St Austell Bay Hash House Harriers was founded in 2025 by “Super Bug” as a small, laid-back, genuinely local hash. It has grown steadily and now has a group of friendly regulars who turn up most weeks, plus plenty of occasional visitors and newcomers. Still true to its roots, it remains completely free, deliberately low-key, and focused on good trails, stunning Cornish scenery, and easy-going company every Wednesday evening. On-On!
Hashing (Hash House Harriers) is a fun, non-competitive social activity that mixes off-road running or walking with simple navigation and plenty of laughs. Hares lay a mystery trail with flour blobs; the pack follows, solving checks and dodging false trails that keep everyone together regardless of speed. Trails are usually 5–8 km, set in scenic countryside, and end with a relaxed circle, silly songs, and a drink (beer, soft, or water – no pressure). Described as “a drinking club with a running problem,” it welcomes all ages and abilities, requires zero fitness standards, and is built entirely on friendship and good humour. On-On
We meet (nearly) every Wednesday evening – on-on at 7:00 pm (gather from 6:50 pm onwards).
Exact start location, parking, and any changes are posted weekly on our Facebook group and WhatsApp – check there for the latest!
